This may have been asked before, I attempted a search but couldn't find anything related.

I'm wondering how i can make it so when you peak around corners, your view tilts. I noticed many games have this where your hiding behind a wall and when you peak around it rather than just shifting the view it actually tilts a bit as if your head has been tilted. Was wondering if there are any scripts out there available for this?

I'd assume this would use camera command controls?

Check out Lewmod. http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&b=21&t=191403&p=1 scroll down and view the Youtube videos.

It doesn't really tilt the camera, but it is able to tilt the weapon which gives a better impression when tilting the view.

here are the specific vids:

Hope that helps a little.

I am not familliar with the new camera commands, but if its possible to create a fully working "third person shooter", then it should be possible to rotate the camera a bit.

I will go and take a look.

Yah I noticed there were a few commands not listed in the syntax issue 4 list.

I'm trying to avoid using Mods as I have had many many issues with them in the past. But those are great features. Wondering how I could do something similar using v119.

I found this:

Quote: "SETCAMROTZ=X
Description: This rotates the camera around the z-axis (roll).
Range: X = -360 to 360
Example: :state=1:setcamrotz=45"

Then check if the peek keyes are being pressed with KEYPRESSED=X Y

something like

I have no idea if that works, but it should

It should be "keypressed=16 1", meaning the "Q" key was pressed, or "keypressed=16 0" meaning "Q" key not pressed.

keypressed=x definitely works, i bound huds to it for reloadings and ammo-availability. maybe setcamrotz=x doesnt, i dont know.

if you show up the script, we can help. often its changing the state after anouncing to get some commands to work. have you tried?

setcamrotz=x is what i meant that seemed to do nothing at all.

the code itself doesn't do a thing with any value between -360 to 360.

What about plroffsetanglez? That should do it. You can also force the user to peek left or right using plraction=6 (for left) or plraction=7 (for right). A combination of these two should work well to give you the effect you're looking for.

It compiled! Ship it!
