The spaces are messing with the url link. Get rid of them in your zip's file name and your link will work fine.

999 Zombies
862,442 polys on the screen
22 FPS

500 Zombies
432,803 polys on the screen
46 FPS

I'm also running:
3DS Max
Photoshop
Netflix
Eclipse
6 Chrome windows
DarkBasic

2900Mhz 4X CPU
6GB Ram
1024MB DDR3 GTS 250

Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.

is this your take on RE1? looks good... aside from the top floor... those bannisters look BOLD

999 [tested only]
850000~ polys @ 45~ fps while running a divx transcode in the background and a whole host of stuff as well...

Intel i5-2500 {gen2} [not the lesser featured K edition]
8GB RAM
120GB OCZ Agility 3 SSD, 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s, SandForce 2281, Read 525Mb/s, Write 500Mb/s, 85K IOPS [which your game ran off]
60GB OCZ Agility 3 SSD, 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s, SandForce 2281, Read 525MB/s, Write 475MB/s, 80K IOPS [which my OS runs off]
and a humble Nvidia GT 430 1GB
Win7 x64 Ultimate

if you like I can run a clean test... with varying numbers of zombies... and you might also want to make a bench to see how long it takes to load each zombie unless you are using instancing...

Mine:

999 Zombies @ 1 FPS with 800,000+ polys

500 Zombies @ 3 FPS with 380,000+ polys (or was it 480,000+)

250 Zombies @ 6 FPS with 200,000+ polys

100 Zombies @ 20 FPS with 77,000+ polys

Advent 8117 Core Duo 1.73Ghz, Intel 943GML (128Mb shared), 1Gb DDR2 533 memory.

Pretty bad huh!?!?

Reminds me of my local on a Saturday night!

Lowest fps = 18 at the top of the stairs. That was a smooth 18fps so I doubt I would notice the game slowing down at all.

I get different results depending on the camera's position and angle. Anyway, here are some typical values:

999 zombies 25 fps 760844 polys
500 zombies 52 fps 356174 polys
250 zombies 99 fps 178808 polys
100 zombies 208 fps 77210 polys

Sadly my Antivirus saw a memory problem with you EXE when 999 zombies are to be drawn, followed by a object does not exist error: however this is clearly down to my own PC since no-one else had this problem.

The highest Zombie count I could run is 900, here are the results:

900 models
fps: at stairs looking down: 22
polys: 777203
at start position: 36 fps

500 models
fps: at stairs looking down: 40
polys: 432803
at start position: 57 fps

250 models
fps: at stairs looking down: 74
polys: 217553
at start position: 113 fps

I chose the Stair location because the slowest FPS is very important and that's the point where the fps is at it lowest.

Edit: PC Specs since a benchmark result is useless with it and I forgot it :

Intel core 2 duo @ 2.4Ghz
3 Gb ram @ 667mhz
Ati Radeon HD 5450 512mb
1 Tb Hard disk (2x500GB)

Thanks man. Ya the graphics right now are nowhere completed. It's something just to test right now before we build this game. In the future I plan to give this a good makeover as long as the fps are up.

WLGfx i'm just curious but how many fps is 4 zombies? Could you test that for me?
