The only other good code that will make coding faster is:

MakeGame()

...but alas it doesn't exist any more in the latest version.

Sometimes it is good to perform a google or forum scope search for a specific piece of code. Many solutions have been solved that you may miss out on unless you make use of the search button and good keywords.

You'll have to be more specific, there's all kinds of things that'll make coding faster, but it depends on what you want to do with the code.

But for collections of code, the Codebase and Code Snippets sections are you best bet, just know what you're looking for and you ought to find something to help you out.

I think it makes more sense to just build a game and improve it as you go. If you just get things handed to you, you will not become a great coder. You would be amazed how much trial and error can help evolve your way of thinking and problem solving.

No game is made in one day. Wait, let me fix that. No 'good game' is made in one day.

Dan makes a valid point. It's not necessarily easy to just code a game, you'll encounter various problems you have to work your way out of and it's not necessarily something you can just rely on people's code snippets for. But I think you can learn from other people's snippets and see what they're doing.

I think of programming as talking to the computer in mathematics and with mathematics, you've got a lot of problem solving to do for the computer to understand your instructions properly.

I'm glad I started in 1980 when you had to teach yourself. I can think in code, and run the code in my head without even typing it into the computer.

I didn't bother reading over my post. But, yes, I see that now. Corrected it.

I mean a game worth playing. So good as in enjoyable, worth the experience, I didn't just waste 2 minutes of my life, this game isn't a hack job, etc.

I agree that code snippets can help. I just meant that you should try doing some of your own problem solving. A tool is a tool. Use it if it is there. But try to evolve it, fine tune it and so forth.
