I'm trying to turn this shader off...

NormalMapping With Specular Mask.fx

I tried this command....

set vertex shader off

.. and it crashed DBPro.

EDIT It's OK, I figured it out set object effect No,0

Ok.. It still doesn't quite work. Fog has been disabled. I need fog to return to normal.

Turning the textures off gets fog back....

texture object 1000,0,0
texture object 1000,1,0
texture object 1000,2,0

... but now the object is white. And when I re-apply a texture fog goes off again.

You could try experimenting with the set object command. One of the flags affects fog.

I've fixed it. I was making an example for here, and whilst I was making the example I noticed that it was suddenly working. Well I had cut down my code, so there was something else to fix. I found out that I was re-texturing my test with a new texture. The new texture had a PNG with 50% transparency. That sort of works if I combine it with fog, and fade object together. The problem was also to do with a background alpha fade.

Anyway here's an example that works without a background alpha...
