I wanted flickering lights in my game to add some atmosphere, and so I used the light2 script. However I saw there's no great impact on the actual lighting, the area still remains lit but theres a flickering effect present.

I was then wondering if its possible to have flickering lights that change between full and zero lighting in time with the flickering effect, it could be slower or different, but its the impact in difference of lighting I'm aiming for. I couldn't really find much on the forums, so I thought I'd post about it. Thanks

I made a script a couple of years ago that was basically a proximity alarm and flickered on and off quicker and quicker as you moved closer.

You'll have to adjust it to your needs, but the basic framework is there. Here it is.

Open up the light2 fpi script and change random: 10 to random 1 or 2.

Thanks, the lowering the random flicker part worked nicely.
