Hi...
I am not needing this but I am curious.. How do you make a simple chat system.

Online by the way..
I browsed the help files on this but all of them dont tell how to actually really get it online...
Do you have to pay for a server or something...
Or can it be like P2P based server.

Just a little curious.. Would be kinda cool to have a IM of my own.

Thanks
Nicolas

I am in the middle of making an aim-like chat Server & Client app but in VB.NET not DBP. I am waiting to hear back from Rich concerning the Apollo API. Was thinking of incorp the API in with the chat app for a suite that this community could use to live chat with each other and surf forums etc all from one integrated app. I know it's not a "necessary" thing, more of a personal "to see if I can do it" type of thing. If anyone is interested I will keep them posted.

There's no need.

The code I put in CodeBase should do the trick for you. No extra servers are required as one of the clients will become the server and pass on control to another when disconnected

You just have to read and understand it. Play around with it a bit too.
