Hi, I have a question about textures.

With my textures, I learned how to make the I and N so they look better, but some of them come off too "glossy". Which texture controls that...the I or the N?

If it's the I, should I being doing something specific with the brightness / contrast?

Or if it's the N, what level do you usually put it at in Gimp? The default "scale" is 1, when you save the Normal Map, I have been using 5 (because I read in some tutorial something about 5-12 range).

Thanks

For glossiness it would be the _I texture (which is often called the _S texture). So altering the brightness on that in most programs will alter the glossiness. However in fps creator it'll often remain very shiny even with a very dark specular (_I) map. So I'd believe you would have to modify the shader effect itself in order to fix this. That would be done using notepad, I'm not sure what you have to change though.

Cheers

I played around with it and it worked. The textures are less glossy now.

Thanks
