Hi playdude,

Should be adequate. I use an ancient Athlon machine that has many of your same specs without too much issue, provided that I go into the setup.ini file on any of the games I create and turn OFF post processing, which is a huge CPU hog. Also be careful to only spawn entities you need WHEN you need them (keep your maps small too, build only what the player needs to see, not massive open worlds). If you do those things, then you should have no problems with FPSC on that machine.

Good luck and have fun!

Would it be best to go into the Setup.ini file after making my game?
I'm completely new to this so bare with me.

Would it be best to edit the setup.ini file during editing or after? (but before compiling)

You can edit the setup.ini file in the FPSC root directory for testing and then edit it also once you've compiled a final game. If you really want to get fancy you can use FPI scripts to set it also. The variable to change is SETUP_POSTPROCESSING. Change it to 0 to turn off, 1 or 2 to turn on. I haven't tried it, but it should work. Put a dynamic light in your level and add that to the light's appear script (save as something else first so you don't mess up the original appear script).

FPSC has a learning curve but it's not very steep. You'll catch on in no time.
