For the most part, I'm coding the collision myself (fps style game), but there are some winding caves with too many curves in my map that would be a nightmare to figure out the way I'm doing the collision for my normal square shaped rooms.
The set collision to polygons command does work, enough so that I don't think it's necessary to give the third party options a try at least, but I can't get the camera to slide on those walls, only stop.

So my question is, is this something that's possible, or by it's very nature does this command not allow sliding collision?

set the float as 1.0 0.5 or anything in-between

I guess this is what you are looking for and also what I should have found before implementing DP XD

hope this helps

EDIT

Actually You can also just say 5 which will give you maximum bounce... and lower ill give you a more solid rigid connection [no bounce]

You can use intersect object command to get a nearly perfect sliding collision with all surfaces.

Cheers.
