In a previous post I read that you are using shift matrix to create an "infinite " matrix. I am doing the same thing I have the matrix shifting and moving smoothly and everything seems fine until I tried placeing an object on the matrix and the Ground height is not correct. Is anyone having this problem or does anyone know how the height data is being handled. I found that if I create a second identical matrix and calculate my location I can get height data from the second matrix, but adding a duplicate matrix drops my FPS alot any help would be appreciated.

Ground height is relative to position of matrix, not to world 0,0,0

so if your matrix is at 500,0,200, you need to deduct 500 from x coord and 200 from z coord in the get ground height command.

Boo!
