This thread is for what people think things are and what they want to know what are.

I have a few things I want to know what are and what I think they are.

Zombies (Vanilla FPSC): I think these are dead corpses with nanobots inside of them controlling their every move.

Aiko: Aiko(s) is/are rescue personnel like in HL1, they appear to want to save you, then they kill you with a big frackin' gun.

Conkers: I want to know what the heck these are.

Note: I only have FPSC Free, but I have Model Pack 5.

Makes no sense, its up to each developer to decide what a character is to be used as. For one Aiko may be the everyday citizien in a futuristic game, while another see her as a cyborg sidekick thats been assembled from several humans and robotic parts.

You should not limit youself by listening to what others think, that way you only lock yourself.

Really? Conkers look more like people with spiked balls for heads. But, as Cyborg said, its up to the developer. I'm studying them more, and they remind me of those headless people in Serious Sam, but Conkers have heads.

These are what I think. Again, I want to let people say what they see in different assets.

But I cannot see the everyday citizen in Aiko. She's wearing combat armor and has "RESCUE" printed on her armor.

Note: I only have FPSC Free, but I have Model Pack 5.

Her armour can be easily retextured.

Not for me. I suck at all graphics design, which is why I'm thankful for model packs and the TGC store.

The armor chest and hump can be concealed but the wrist gauntlets and kneepads make it more difficult to pull off "normal" civilian looks. Here's my attempt at a non sci-fi look from several years ago...



In the end, any effort spent retexturing is not worth it because the model is a bit crap. YMMV

Dude, those retextures are cool, what are you talking about?! I'd download those in a heartbeat if they were made available! (Are they? I'm totally serious, I would love to use that character).

@Anigma- thanks but they are not available as they were done exclusively for a client some years ago.

My point in showing them was to show that the body armor could be retextured to look like other things and my statement about it not being worth it is because for the time spent retexturing it's best to retexture a better constructed model... Aiko has no thumbs and she's built and rigged in a manner that causes very poor deformation (as with most of the stock characters). Especially in the arms and wrists.
