Hey, I'm getting frustrated. I'm trying to simply load and loop a sound and I'm getting the 'Cannot Load Sound at line 1' error! The sound is in the same, it is the correct format and name.

Here's my code:

Not all WAV files use the RIFF format. Some are MP3 encoded. I believe that the LOAD SOUND command in DBP does not load MP3 encoded WAV files. Others simply do not follow all the RIFF format rules. RIFF is a flexible format, and allows for a lot of room. Try other WAV files you have. I'm certian they will work.

I had this problem once and if I remember correctly there was another LOAD command (generic) that got it to work....let me look

oh yeah - try LOAD MUSIC I think that worked regardless of what the help file says regarding file format

I haven't had any problem with wav sounds in DBP, but I'd recommend to check the filename again, and to make sure it's in the same directory.
