*sigh

You didn't include any information, so we can't help. What is the error message? How big is your game? How many levels? Have you tried building just one level, then adding another, and seeing which level it fails on? What are you system specs? Which version of FPSC are you using.

*sigh

Well, that's a start. Would still like your computer specs, but I guess we can run without them.

When you test the level, what does the test screen say is the total MB used for the level? FPSC has a rather small (comparably) limit for the total memory usage, so if your level is approaching 2 GB it's gonna fail.

How many entities are you dropping in this level? Which entities specifically, and how many of each? How many segments? How big (in number of squares and layers) is your level - just one building?

You have 3 buildings, with 2-4 floors each, but I don't understand the quoted part. Are you saying that you are using the entire layer - every square in the map editor - for your level? Because that is not going to help you in your quest to build the game.

Can you post pictures of the map editor to show how "big" the buildings are? I'm concerned that you are using the entire map editor, and that's a no-no. You should be building small levels - like one of the buildings per each level, and then string them together in the built game (if that makes sense).

Also, saying your pc is ok doesn't answer my question about your machine specs. Operating system, memory, graphics card, etc.

And the test level failed? What error message did you get when it failed? Where did it fail at? Can you post a shot of it failing?

@Leon Kennedy

I notice that he is using X10, therefore,

Quote: "limit for the total memory usage"

This would not be the case as there is no mem cap with X10.

@frx

I have had issues with this before and it is usually a weapon that causes the issues. My advice would be, take all the weapons in your level out, then try to build it.

Then, if it builds ok, add the weapons back in one by one until the error occurs again.

If this doesn't work, you have a very arduous task ahead of ou my friend.

What i did was wrote down everything that was in my level on a piece of paper, but, only write each entity once. eg, if you have four chairs in an office, just count that as one.

Then with your list, create a small room using all the segments in your original level. Then try to build it.

Then, if that had worked, you know none of your segments are causing the problem, so cross them off your list.

Then continue to add the entities off your list (3-4 at a time) and try to build it every time you add 3-4 entities.

When the build fails, you will know that the latest 3-4 entities you have recently placed are the problem causers. All you need to do then is narrow from those 3-4 to the one entity that is making the build game crash.

It is a lot of work and is time consuming, but, it works.

Hope this helps.

Dang..... if you have 100 entities then that will take a while!

I also noticed he's running an Nvidia 8400.
Per Official FPSC X10 System Requirments - "8400 Works but badly not recommended when using FPSC"

When i had to rebuild one of my levels i had around 100 entities and it took me a good few hours to get it working! But, it was worth it! I was so upset that it wasn't working.

But, if you ever have this problem, follow the poorly written guidelines above and you should be fine.
