Hi all.

I wasn't sure where to put this, its not really a work in progress being that its not a serious full game attempt. Its more me proving to myself what i can do with dark basic pro. so I put it here.

I've been working on various studies covering various aspects of game design for about a year now. I have lots of individual things that look cool(to me) but very few of them come together into what would resemble a "game".

so I put together a this little level in an attempt to recreate the basic elements of a first person shooter(Challenging myself to put up or shut up).

it covers elements like

-sliding and basic collision
-animation and sound triggering and sequencing
-basic ai
-simple lighting/darkness
-particle system
-sprite overlays(both screen and 3d surfaces)
-basic game data(player and monster lifecounters)

for the record - this uses EAI's chainsaw model and sounds and tgc's free mutant monster. royalty free wall textures from cg textures.

I do want to add more elements to this and improve all elements. this is where it is at the moment and I was chuffed with how its coming along and thought i'd share.

Kezzla,

It does not have to be serious to put it in the WIP thread.
It looks like your on your way to making it serious.
Nicely done. Keep your code organized because the larger the
code gets it can become spaghetti code.

The arms move very realistically, I would say photo-realistically.
