Is direct draw the only file extention I can use for a hud. What app can I use to make them?

I think there was a program called Ctr hud or Cdr Hud or something, you make a PNG image and put it in the program, then give it your FPSC Directory and whoopy! Your done! Just use the script the program gives you!
