Hi,

When I compile my project in xcode using build 1074 all my saved data is missing, but when I compile using 1065 again the data returns. I can't figure out how to compile using build 1074 or later without losing my game data.

Also, in Windows the default save location seems to have changed from a full location "My Documents/AGK/C_Users_User_Desktop_AppName" to "Documents/AGK/AppName".

I can't find any info on this anywhere... am I going mad or am I just missing something obvious here?

Thanks

This may or may not be related. But, as of 107x, the bytecode and media files must be in a subdirectory named 'media'. This affects the basic game.

And this affects where any generated files go as well. They will now appear in a media directory under the 'Documents/AGK/AppName' directory.

The first part (about bytecode and media) has been mentioned elsewhere in the forum. But not the change to generated files.

Simply copy the files from the old location to the new Documents/AGK/AppName/media directory. It should have been created the first time you ran your app.

Yes, it seems that they simplified the path to files in the latest releases. You can also change the path (for windows), but if you need to use files from when you compiled with an earlier version, just copy them into the new folder.

And, no you aren't going crazy.

Thanks for the replies, that should help for when I compile in Windows thanks. And good to know I'm not going nuts!

The main problem though I should've mentioned in my post is that I'm compiling to iPhone and the data is getting lost when I compile the updated 1074 version, and returns when I compile the 1065 version...

I have an App in iTunes at the moment and I don't want to release an update with the possibility of losing peoples saved data. Any ideas?

Thanks
