I've been looking at purchasing a few plugins and have searched the forums but have been unable to find an answer.

1)Is Blitz terrain still supported?
I've searched around and it seems the author hasn't been active that much anymore. The last few threads and posts I've seen suggest he might release it open source.
Quote: "I haven't done much work recently on BlitzTerrain. OpenTerrain is doing some rendering under OpenGL/Linux. I don't use Windows much nowadays. I might just remove DBPro dependency from BlitzTerrain and release that open source instead."
and that he is no longer really working on it.

2) Is dark imposters and dark occlusion compatible?
I've looked at the dark occlusion thread and the author has posted
Quote: "Dark Imposters might cause problems, it all depends on how Dark Imposters works, wich I don't know.
It will only cause problems if Dark Imposters includes objects that were excluded by Dark Occlusion."
however, this really isn't a definitive answer. As i want to know if it will work or not.

Dark Imposters shows/hides objects on the fly, when hidden an imposter takes the objects place.

Assuming Dark occlusion has a similar show/hide process then there is bound to be a problem if you add the same objects to both systems.

That does not mean they are completely incompatible, it might just mean don't add the same objects to both systems at once, or be sure to remove from one system before adding to another, it would take some well organised programming to get the best out of both systems I would think.

They are used for very different scenarios, if you want to actually see lots of objects on screen then you would use Dark Imposters. If you have lots of objects with only a small proportion visible at any one time then you would use Dark Occlusion.

Hope that helps.
