I am creating large scenery, loading objects, creating, etc. I have "AUTOCAM OFF" at the start of code. I need the screen to stay blank while stuff is being being created. If I use a Repeat...Until or While...Endwhile to generate something, Darkbasic automatically undates the screen. Is there a way to keep the camera off until everything is done?

Try set camera view 0,0,0,0 then restore it when needed.

Sync On followed later by sync should do it. Only Sync when you want to see things updated.

Set Display Mode 1920, 1080, 32
Autocam Off
Sync On
Sync Rate 0
Color BackDrop 0, RGB(0,0,0)
Sync

All you need at the start of the program.
