Just got an email from caligari. It seems that they have finally released a demo version of gameSpace.

"A free trial copy of gameSpace1.1 is now available
for download. This is fully functional, including the
ability to save and export to game formats, so you can
start using gameSpace right away!

Designed to be accessible for independent game
developers (who are often on a tight budget!),
gameSpace is based on the latest version
of award winning trueSpace. Extra modeling tools, and
compatibility with game formats, has been added, to bring the
functionality and ease of use of trueSpace to the gaming
community and also to those interested in a world class
modeler!"

The mail of the reservation receipt of GamePAK reached me from the Caligari Co. today. In it, only trueSpace6.6 was correspondence.

My environment ... trueSpace6.0 ?!?!?!

UpgradeTS6.6 $189 + GamePak $149 = $300 over

It decided to order though it is how much effective in DBPro was uncertain. How about your judgment?

I am creating MS HTML HELP of DBPro. If it is completed, translation in other languages will become easy. Don't you participate in this project, either?

If I understand your question correctly, you are asking how effective the gamePak/trueSpace solution will be in Dark Basic.

I cannot answer that, but I do know that Caligari are working on Dark Basic Professional support within gameSpace. When this support will be implemented is unsure at this moment, there is much discussion on the gameSpace forums as to which format gets included next. A further problem is that the Dark Basic Professional .DBO format is not yet finalised.

I can only assume that there will be a decent level of support from both The Game Creators for gameSpace and from Caligari for Dark Basic Professional. I can only further assume that this support will be extended to the TrueSpace/gamePak option (which looks like simply transferring the explicit gameSpace functions into TrueSpace).

Further there are the forums for both Caligari and this one for The Game Creators. Should you have a question, there is almost always someone to answer it. There are many tutorials on the web, and undoubtedly with this new gamePak this will only increase.

I only wish I had the money, I would buy all three (TrueSpace + gamePak and gameSpace). If only to see which option works out the best.

@NinjaNL,

Thanks. TrueSpace6.6Upgrade + GamePAK + I ordered proTeam8cources. I chose because I did not understand proTeam well. Translation mistake? Sorry.

It was so or did not write DarkBasicProfessional. It was thought that PRO was also natural because 3DGameStudio was a support of not A5 but A6.

I am scheduling gameSpace to make remarks as follows.

"Export FX is a necessary function!"

Hello.

Isn't Export FX necessary in the future if becoming software that gameSpace substitutes for Max and Maya? I want you to teach the Caligari Co. to plan.

DarkBasicProfessional supported DirectX9 .fx FileFormat. It is only continuousness of the error though many trial and error was done repeatedly. It is very difficult between the normal people to treat this. Export FX optimized to each game engine base is necessary and indispensable. It is difficult to change to the DBPro specification though it corresponds to Export FX with RenderMonkey1.0 of ATI. I think that it is our common recognition now. Even if FX is supported with other engines, it is likely to become a situation that looks like DBPro.

Thanks.

Does the meaning run?

Basic runs even if English is unskilled.
