Hey everybody,

Sometimes, not always, when my firefox is open and I start my application compiled in DBP, the render keeps flashing. I've had it tested on other computers and browsers and it appears it does this as well with Chrome.

I've had this with apps I wrote in the past as well and now also with my latest project. I wonder if this is a common problem and what the source could be. Any ideas?

I used to get something like that before I discovered how to use the sync commands properly. Could you post a small snippet which exhibits the problem?

Thank guys!

I think you are right Gandalf, I've been "optimising" the sync functions in the past. Now looking at it, I see what a mess it is.

I will code a new sync function. I'll let you guys know how things turn out.

sorry JUST HAD TO!!!

I did not know you could use the COM functions to call alternative browsers or are you using something like the USER32.DLL?

Syncing back in

I'm not sure what you mean...

The problem I had was a really wierd sync function. For now, I have the most basic sync setup that I will expand on at a later stage. Later I will have to take different refresh rates and multiplayer into consideration, but for now this will suffice.

you mentioned Chrome so I figured unless it was set as your default browser you must have specifically called it...

I've no idea what you mean. You seem to be making something complicated that ought to be very simple.

We need details before we can help you.

I'm baffled by his statement about COM as well.

I was referring to ActiveX and COM

Quote: "COM, ActiveX, .NET
Commands in this section allow you to load COM, ActiveX or .NET DLLs (and one of their classes). Once loaded you can create new instances, call COM functions, check for the existence of COM classes, register DLLs and set/get values.
"

clear enough now?

Not at all. Why did you bring it up?

There are lots of things I don't know but I usually refrain from throwing them into threads about something else.
