I have done a search on the boards and know there have been numerous threads on suggestions for Co-Op gameplay. I know there are team deathmatches and such that could be done, and I know people have even suggested split screen gameplay(which I find odd, but ok).

What I am curious about is if an Original Quake type model can be done in FPSC? In the original quake, two players on two seperate computers on a LAN could connect and start a full game together. The difficulty bar was raised(due to there being 2 players instead of 1) and more NPCs were spawned due to this... but the gameplay was the same. This is what I am looking at when I ask about Co-Op gaming. Can FPSC in its current state accomplish this task?

From what I understand it would require a whole lot of effort in the multiplayer part of FPSC. We would have to be able to have dynamic entities in multiplayer in order to get it working and that involves a complete rewrite from the ground up. People have gotten dynamic entities to work in MP in the past (there's ways of tricking it) but the other players do not experience what you are doing on your end-hence ground up rewrite. you could open a door and walk through it but the other players will just see you walk through a closed door.If you notice there aren't any rocketlaunchers or grenades in MP since they are uniquely dynamic. It would be a brave soul to do a ground up overhaul but I think it would be a great thing to have. the possibilities would be endless. We could have games like L4D or rpg type encounters.
