I thought it would be fun to post a thread that allows people to share their ideas for great games.

Also I have no ideas for a game (I have a total of 27 abandoned projects) and I thought that this would also help others who have no more good ideas for games too!

Please give good, and serious ideas, and let me know what you think!

I'd have to say........ The Game Creators can make dreams come true.

Heck Yeah! since I can't sleep I'll go.

Title : Kill Me Once (Shame on me)

Plot : A murder mystery that takes place in a small southern town. you were just passing through and decided to stop for the night at the HillBilly Inn, after a late watching of some skinamax on the tube, you are startled by three loud gunshots. Well being the faithfull Scooby Doo, CSI Miami detective that you thought you were back in NYC before you were suspended for alcohol abuse, you just couldn't let this go.

I know you might not think this is a serious idea, but I like it.

The way it's meant to taste.

Don't take this personally, but it sounds like you are just fishing for some ideas and hope someone posts something that you find interesting and can "borrow".

I had an interesting idea one time in a dream.

The name of the game was "Table Gables" and it was a game for Nintendo DS and it was a stealth game in which you are in an old-person's home and your one task is to mess with the elderly by moving around furniture while they aren't looking. If the nurses spot you doing it, they'll chase you off, and you have to hide somewhere like a closet, and if the old people spot you, they alert the nurses. It was fun because if you succesfully freaked the elderly out by moving the coffee table across the room, or something like that everyone would babble and yell that the communists, nazis, aliens, democrats, teenagers, illegals, or some other thing old people hate had moved it. the entire game is meant to be humorous, but feature interesting stealth puzzles.

@Leon Kennedy:
That is mostly true, I am fishing for ideas, but this is also to help others who are new or experienced at this software to get an idea for their games with help from the community.

To everyone:

Earth's Orbit. 2012. You play as Corporal Drew Walker. A navy seal who was "snatched" by aliens while on a routine HVT kill or capture mission. He awakes in a glass cell aboard a spacecraft with a timer on his wrist detailing the time that he would die from the alien research fluids coursing through his veins. Knowing that his death is expediently inevitable, Drew decides that he must take down the alien threat and protect the human race or any other race that this ship might come across. A sci-fi action adventure in space, with low gravity gun fights, and Science puzzles. This was made in thirty seconds off of the top of my head. lol

BTW! I have an ending with a twist in mind if you'd like to hear it.

Well, I had this image in my head of the player going up to view screens on the ship which detail how the HVT Kill or Capture mission is going. Needless to say, it's a disaster without Drew. As the game nears it's end, the player discovers that everyone had died. Fortunately however, Drew uses this as fuel, knowing that if he was there, his friends could have made it. So, in a final rampage, Drew takes out the Alpha Alien and is about to destroy the ship wheeeen... All of a suddenly, Drew wakes up in a hospital bed surrounded by doctor's and psychiatrists telling him that he has a severe case of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder brought on by the failure of the mission. Apparently Corporal Walker had blamed himself for the failure. He was the only survivor. The twist leads the player questioning: "Is he really crazy, or was it a cover up? Were there really aliens?" And that is the twist.

Thank you! I like twist endings that make you wonder. Like, when they could go either way. They're fun.

Go ahead if you need it, thats what this thread is for.

I had an idea to share...

You are a private in a special squad called S.G.R.T, (Some Group that Removes Threats, great huh?) There is a terrorist group (called something else) that is developing a T.M.E Virus (Trans-Mutated Evolution Virus) that changes regular humans into putrid creatures.

I was thinking that in the beginning, you start with your squad in a stealthy mission in a warehouse, then transitions into greater battles within cities or towns, then into a laboratory for the final battle...

...But suddenly, the T.M.E.V (or T-MEV) bomb explodes, releasing the virus! then you alone (While everyone is a mindless devouring monster, even your squad) must survive and find the missing cure from a secret lab with a half dead scientists you was developing a cure while he was working on the virus... and the story picks up somewhere here........

Hows that!

I'd have to say........ The Game Creators can make dreams come true.

I had a really messed up one that I posted a long time ago in one of these threads in game design chat and it's where you're a guard at Auschwitz and the tutorial mission sees you learning the ropes of the game by performing your daily duties (walk to gas chamber using w/a/s/d, climb ladder by walking up to it, walk to gloves to pick them up, right click to pick up zyklon B crystals, rightclick again to drop them in gas chamber, use gun to shoot prisoners, ETC.) finally when the US army attacks, you are forced to destroy all of the equipment and hide the warcrimes, as well as fight a losing battle against U.S. freedomfighters. the game ends when your squad demands that you charge the army head-on as they make a run to escape in cars. you obviously die.

yeah, that, and my other more lighthearted piece proves I am one sick weirdo.

I don't think anything could be worse than the columbine video game. I've played Postal 2, all the GTA's, Manhunt's one and two, even rapelay... For some reason. But I found Super Columbine in pretty bad taste.
