One of my favorite things about dbpro is the easy commands and great help files. However, I am having to launch my extra modules help files in an outside browser.

Is there some easy way to integrate all the various help files together?

HTML viewer?

Hi there

As far as I can see it is exactly what DBPro does and uses... so just to try and point you in some direction, STYX's COM and ActiveX functions may be able to help Or I could be wrong...

However yeah HTML should be the trick but then again I have no idea what your program is A game or App for doing stuff...

hope this gets solved soon for you

just open up your commands.htm file in word and add hyperlinks to your extra modules help files.
That's what i have done.
even the standalone help packages can be opened from a link within the dbpro help window
(but will still open standalone, its just easier than finding them on your hard drive)

I have every help file for every plugin i use accessible from my commands page.

they are all either somewhere in the dbpro help folder or the plugins example folder in the projects directory.

Sometimes I like to use words out of contents

Never use Word or Wordpad to edit HTML files use either NotePad ... Notepad++ or similar or a dedicated interpreter such as Dreamweaver or Expression Web...

Reason...

The first two embed additional unwanted material into the files... So the solution above is mainly a rule of thumb...

You might like to look at the way Scraggle does it on this thread. It works well once you've sorted out a possible Windows security feature (see my posts near the end):

Help files

I agree with Mr Valentine here - just make the changes you want using NotePad and don't forget to keep a backup copy before you change anything.

If the plugin doesn't automatically bring up the help viewer when you press F1, you can also go to Darkbasic Professional/Editor/Keywords and edit the keywords file for the module you're looking at. This is the syntax for those files:

The second parameter points to the htm or html document that describes the command.
