I hate that there is a 2GB limit even small games if i have the Detail and Lighting on max the game can't be made! Why is there a limit and is there a way to bypass it?

I believe the V120 Beta is trying to help with some of these issues (http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=197293&b=21). I personally have not had a chance to check them out, but you can try it

Because of the way 32 bit operating systems work.

Yes but it is not official and it doesn't work for everyone.

Hey, Thraxas, I was just wondering because I keep hearing how the cap is there because of the way 32 bit systems operate. Will there be an update solely for 64 bit users like myself?

No. FPSC is made from DBPro and DBPro is not going to be updated to accommodate 64bit operating systems anytime soon.

Dar13 is correct, I don't believe FPSC will be updated for 64bit operating systems.

I wish FPSC would get a ground up rewrite but I don't think that's ever going to happen either.

Red Eye's LightStorm Engine is probably as close as we're going to get anytime soon. It's really shaping up quite well.

The "Performance Patch" I made lets you get around the 2 gig limit, but it's generally unstable if your PC doesn't have 4GB or more of memory.

Well I took mrniceguy's advice about having a small footprint for your games and I have made a program that
runs one game after another that is packed in Smartpackerpro.

I build each level as it it made. Then use smartpackerpro to make it a standalone exe game file then put them all into my program where each level runs one after the other.
I just tested it with a 21 level game, where each of the 21 levels is a separate smartpackerpro file and each level is around 123-139MB in size.
It was fast, as each level was it's own game. but the user sees it all as one large game.

I kinda got the idea from Section 812, Ched80, s4real, Black Fox, and The Zombie Killer.

still need to capture the win from each level as they can only play level one then two and so on. Right now you can just open each level save the game or lose and start the next level with out actually winning the previous level. My skill set is not the best so it's trial and error. :Lots of errors
