I altered the verticies on a box model in DB Pro, saved it as a .x and .dbo model and tried loading them into an FPSC level. In both cases the model appears and collision is detected with the player but the altered verticies are ignored so you can walk straight through these points. I tried altering the collision values in my FPE file but no luck. V frustrating so any advice would be great.

I would stick with useing a modeling program rather than DB Pro to make your geometry. Also I would check the .fpi to see what type of collision you are useing.

I don't know if it's the problem, but you don't need to put the .dbo model in, as FPSC generates one, and should be deleted when a change is made.

@400 pound

What Vent said will be the issue.

Every time you test a level in FPSC it creates a bunch of DBO and BIN files, (so it loads faster next time) all of the data needed for models and textures in that level are stored inside these DBO and BIN files.

If you altered a model and then placed it back where you found it with the original DBO file, there won't be any change.

I would advise, delete the DBO file you placed back in the folder, run FPSC cleaner, then try to text it again.

If that fails, then, as D13 mentioned, learn to use a modeling program to edit models rather than using DBO (its easier once you learn the basics and very fun)

Hope this helps.
