Someone pointed me to an exporter plug-in for Max that automagically made all the material color and texture exporting work easily and seamlessly. I have tried to find it in the forums...

But then the plugin was not compleately writen,some dlls where missing.

so Little Red Riding Hood skipped to the nearest fourm for dlls,she found 2 that might work with the plug in.

"Who's that primitive entity accessing sliding collision data from my bridge?!", the troll roared.

"Oh it's just me, Little Red Riding Hood", she said.

"I'm coming to gobble you up!", said the troll.

"Oh no! Pray, don't take me, for I possess only but a few polygons in my mesh!", said Little Red Riding Hood. "Wait a bit until the next goat comes, he's a lot bigger and uses pathetic pathfinding algorithms due to the fact he's just an NPC and therefore considered less superior by the programmer!"
