Hi there,
Is there a way to use the new videotexture script as if it were a decal that was not fixed length? As in- no surface or 3d entity model seen- just floating movie image?

If possible, how to mask background?
Thanks

you can try "setalphafade=50" in the appearscript to fade the object to 50%, but i dont know if videotexture will also fade.

floating movie image in the air > set videotexture as texture for glass-entity (for example scifi/scenery/windows/win_c/...), these are 2d-models.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will try the window and changing alphafade. I experimented with these in the 'examples' level, but for me it has errors in the map.
It would also be really smart to have an official start/stop movie script. Playing vid surface in game is a wonderful important addition, but adding scriptable button/switch, or motion trigger would be like times 10000!
