I don't want to use "get image" because I want to copy from the original image and not whats on screen. Is there a way I can copy a section of an image and paste it back onto itself?

My idea is for a tile map so that I basically shift the tiles that have already been pasted onto the background (an image in this case) and only have to paste a single row or column of tiles as it scrolls rather than having to repaste every tile on screen. Less calls to paste image I think could speed up the map a lot.

The only way to coppy a image is if it is on the screen,if it is not on screen,no coppy can happen, this is what I know anyhow, unless there is a way I dont know off.

You are better off to have bolth images of the same image paisted to the screen, then just coppy the one part of the image to paist to the second image.

This is what I would do

my signature keeps being erased by a mod So this is my new signature.

If you have a scrolling map you can copy all of it to the side. That's even faster. Then add your tiles to the end. If you are pasting sprites on it you can get the image off Bitmap 1. Create Bitmap 1. SET CURRENT BITMAP 1, get image etc, SET CURRENT BITMAP 0, Sync
