Blender, Wings3D for models.
CharacterFX for animations.

You export them to .X format (DirectX) and load them with load object

I would recommend Milkshape3D it's a lot easier to use than Blender and still get acceptable results. If you know how to use Blender then Blender is way better.

I made this using MS3D. I'd like to think I'm high in the running for best MS3D modelling, but even now I'm seeing some serious issues I'd like to take care of. But still it's in the ballpark for most games, quality wise, maybe needs some normal mapping. The dude on the right is going to get a page 1 rewrite very shortly.

This was made by a professional artist in Blender. It's cheating since it's not actually from a game, but you get the idea. If you haven't used Blender before you won't even come close to this, but the capability is there. So if you can use Blender, then Blender is best.

3DS Max is good too, but it's expensive, and hard to learn like Blender.

thoes programms are good to use& yes if you dont know blender then blender might be pretty hard to get used to but you might get it work quick. other than that you use
Load Object "test.x",1
or
Load Object "test.3ds",1
the ,1 means that its serrial number is 1 so when you load a image as the texture you use that like this
Load Image "Texture.bmp",1
Texture Object 1,1 and in DarkBasic pro it whud look like this

Where Test.x is your 3d modell& Texture.bmp is the image you use as texture on the modell.
i hope this helps alsoe chekk darkbasic pro help option then commands and basic 3D and youl see alott of info there too
ps Norwegian&dyseleksia.
