Hi, i have been watching the Leadwerk engine , on a distance for, quite a while.
yes the Leadwerk graphics looks ok, its a nice thing, not more than that ?!

boy was i wrong about that, i saw a youtube video and other stuff / demos of the Leadwerk engine, i was really shocked, my god, this Leadwerk engine is caple of producing graphics as god as the newest 2012 3d games just released, or allmost, its fantastic, wauv.
the Leadwerk is using the LUA scripting and should be quite easy to learn. (my logitech gaming keyboard is using LUA for programming the keys!).
it can support all major programming language, acording to Leadwerk.

So here is my question: can Leadwerk support Dark Basic Pro (i know DBP is build on directx and Leadwerk is using opengl).
If not, maybe i can use it for visual basic 2010 express ?.
somebody told me to do a wrapper / programming a wrapper plugin thing for, in order to use Leadwerk in Dark Basic Pro ?.
I dont want to program a wrapper, i just want to use it for both c++, Visual basic, and offcourse DBP. (unless, its easy to do a wrapper plugin, or whatever its called!).

Its quite expensive, the Leadwerk engine.

Last question, what version of directx, is Dark Basic Pro use (lastest version of DBP!) ?.

Directx 10 / 11 ?.

Why would you want to use it with DBP in the first place? Use either Lua or C++ and you'll get the best out of Leadwerks.

Anyhow I believe this should be moved to Geek Culture as it barely relates to DarkBasic.

Fascinating. Why don't you want DirectX 11 wrapper for Linux on MAC? That would be awesome!

Indeed, the Leadwerks engine is capable of producing some top notch graphics. I have the engine myself, and I can confirm the great graphics capabilities.

Well, so far that I know of, there's no dbpro wrapper for the Leadwerks engine yet. Leadwerks can be programmed with Lua, C, C++, Blitz, and since Leadwerks is compiled as a DLL, you can program with just about any language.
Lua is very simple and easy to learn.
It would be cool to have a dbpro wrapper for Leadwerks.

Yeah, I think you should also be able to use VB 2010 express.

Well, it's not that expensive either, considering what you get in return.

Cheers

i actuelly didnt know where to post message/ threads, because its related to
DBP i guess somehow, because i want to know
If Leadwerk could go well together with DBP.

why i want to use directx 10/11, i dont, i just couldnt
Remeber what version DBP of directx use.
And this somehow importent, because newer
Version of directx means lot more fun, with directx
11 you can use compute shader as microsoft
Call it.
You can use really advanced water shader etc.
Well maybe this subject and the posting is a
Bit out of scope, i guess.
I will ask the Leadwerk suport team, if DBP can be
used together.
If thats possible, dark basic pro will become
Imensely powerfull, like never before.
And if anybody think the DBP is up to the challenge
against Leadwerk, forget it, Leadwerk is
Simply to powerfull.

AFAIR Leadwerk has all shaders already built-in, in DBP you need to make render pipeline by yourself. No skills = no graphics. So I call your statement as false.

I am sorry you took it that way, what i meant is
The Leadwerk has better render engine (i think), better light , shadow
etc..
If DBP has all the necessary thing, why do
The Game Creator sell it on there website, that
Would be meaningless unless Leadwerk has
More to offer.
I am shure DBP and shader can do really complex
Games, and i do like dark basic pro alot.
To say i dont have any skills, bla, bla, is really childish, not to
say, far out.
I am not gonna discuss with anybody about
dark basic pro vs leadwerk.
Lets behave like adults, shall we.
And again, sorry for making you angry.

You can use dx11 shaders with dB pro.

Not all of them. DX11 introduced geometry shaders, an advanced form of vertex shader.

Anybody has experience with NuclearBasic ? They claim their engine is as good as Leadwerks.
