Hi, I recently downloaded a melee weapon pack from Kravenwolf from a site called fps-files.com. I followed the instructions for installation listed below:

Kravenwolf's Weapon Pack #1 - Free Release!

----------

CREDITS:

Models and textures by Kravenwolf

Thanks to EAI for allowing the use of his animations and player hands

Thanks to teamhalo for rigging the weapons for FPS Creator.

----------

SETUP:

Place the files from the entitybank folder in any location in your FPSC entity folder.

Place the folder titled 'Kravenwolf', and all its files in your FPSC gamecore > guns folder.

*EAI'S weapons sounds are not included in this download.*

Unfortunately, when I test the game out, everytime I move my character to pick up the weapon automatically, the game stops and shows this message afterwards: Runtime Error 3001- Sound number illegal at line 12981

This is the link I got it from:
http://fps-files.com/download.php?view.597

The same problem happened when I tried to use a katana I downloaded from the same website:
http://fps-files.com/download.php?view.471

Does anyone know how to fix this kind of problem? Also, are there any melee weapon packs out there for free as well (Not the official FPSC Model Packs)? Any help would be appreciated.

We are usually more than happy to help with these types of issues on the site in the forum or the chat. While I do not work in fpsc much anymore, many of our active users do and are happy to help. If you don't find any help here don't hesitate to ask on the site.

Hi Design Runner, no offence but it seems that the fps-files forums is pretty inactive as of late. So far, i have recieved no response at all after posting the same topic on the website there.

Again, I just like some help with the .wav problems I am having as of late. Is there sort of unwritten rule I don't know of about when downloading third party mods for FPSC, particulary with .wav files?

I do agree the forums have been empty, however the chatbox is usually being used. As far as I know, all mods should work with .wav files. Are you sure you are using the mod with the correct version of fpsc, and that it was downloaded properly?

Got yourpost design runner, you right about the FPS Creator version; I have not updated it at all. I downloaded the patch and suddenly, when testing the melee weapons, it worked with no problems. Even the existing firearm models now have Hands! Guess I have loads of stuff to learn on this program. I think I will be playing around with this program fo awhile...

Anyway, thanks design runner, if I need any more help,I will go to the site's chatbox then. Thanks again
