Hello all.

As the title suggests; i would like to hear opinions, thoughts or methods on how to achieve a post shader becoming activated when falling. I assume it would be achieved using variables.

I must note, i am an X10 user and have decided to give X9 a well deserved try due to the script-able post shaders!

My knowledge on this subject is rather limited, so, please, if you are kind enough to impart knowledge, try to keep it fairly simple.

Would this be the player falling or some NPC?

This would be the player falling. I want to give the impression of everything whizzing past at great speed.

do you know the areas where he will fall or do you want to have it by default when he jumps somewhere down ?

I would prefer just default. I understand that I could put trigger zones all over the level in which the player would be falling, but wouldn't that affect the fps?

I've not tested it, but you could try using:

:plronground=0:setposteffect=motionblur
:plronground=1:setposteffect=none

Thanks for the idea Ched. I will try it later. (I have some jobs to do for the wife now!)

I will report back later and let you know what happens.
