Gameplay trailer: (09/08/12)

Quite a few of you followed the development of this game, and I'm happy to announce that it has been authorized on ModDB and I'm aiming for a mid-September release!
Currently I am reworking and editing a gameplay video, but you can keep up-to-date with the progress of release here: http://www.indiedb.com/games/survivalism

Survivalism is going to be FREE

Looks awesome!

If you don't mind me asking, which plugin did you use for physics, mainly ragdoll?

Thanks everyone! Currently polishing the UI some more - marketplace alterations, then to implement more than just "footsoldier" zombies !! I can see the finish line :p

At release unfortunately there won't be any multiplayer/cooperative play, but I aim to get that in as a future update

Thanks Mr Bigglesworth getting closer to release now - 15th September...

Big news, I have signed an agreement with Desura to publish Survivalism on their store! I will update the thread as I get more news on the matter. It is still going to be free.

I assure you it is 100% created with C++ and DarkGDK :p Fortunately with DGDK, you can access the actual DirectX layer below the surface, really useful to recode parts of the engine (such as the insanely slow text drawing calls, or the pretty average particle system). Basically, it is customized version of DGDK, but I assure you that great looking games CAN be created in both DBP and DGDK - you've just got to polish and polish everything.

Hey mate! I downloaded your the installer for this game and tried the game. Sadly it crashed on me. I'm running on a Xeon X5450 clocked at 3.3GHz and XFX9600Gt 512mb GPU, with 4 gigs of ram.

After getting frustrated, I tried un-installing the game. Rather than uninstalling the game, the installer deleted everything that was present in the folder where I downloaded the file, so now I have completely lost a whole lot of my TGC related software game design files!

What's up? It seems your twitter account is suddenly protected, your webpage is down, and the desura/indiedb page has been deleted. Are you still planning on releasing this? I'm looking forward to playing it
