Can anyone tell me, why these 2 look so different? I attached an image showing 2 views of the same aircraft in the 2 apps. The image at the bottom is how the model appears in AC3D. I then export the scene as a .X file, and then load it into my game using DB PRO. The image above is how that same aircraft looks in DB PRO. Anyone know what I need to do to correct the model? Is it perhaps a normal map that isn't being applied to the model or something? In AC3D, the aircraft reacts to changes in the light angle.

Plus, the shadow texture I am using looks great in AC3D, and looks like poop in DB PRO. It is simply a PNG file.

I can't tell that there is anything wrong in the texture map.

I had this problem before when used AC3D but worked when I used the command:

Yeah, definitely looks like a problem with the materials. At first glance it looks like all the normals are reversed or none existent.

It's definitely nothing to do with the texture but the material settings itself, probably the normals...

Although I have had bad experiences with png files in the past with DBP so you could try another format for that, but I doubt that's the main problem anyway...

from my experience. AC3D looks at normals in opposite direction from DBpro when packing .x files. go to surface on the top left buttons then click on flip normals.

let us know what happens.

Set alpha mode¿

There are quite a few commands for transparency... Believe me I have tried them all... And they can be tricky...

Try TGA format...
