Hi! I have original DBP cd with original editor, but i need patches.

Quote: "Those 3 updates can be installed at any time, though you may have to change a few settings in the editor if you changed the defaults. Install the 1.0.9, then the 1.0.9.2, and then the 1.1.0.3 (unofficial patch). This fixes many of the problems with the DBP editor. You may have to change your concatenation symbol to _ or something if you use ... alot in your comments."

All patches were removed from TGC site. I ask anybody to post all those patches here.

Also, if possible, I want to see a changelog for unofficial 1.1.0.3

Please do not flame about other editors.

Thank you!

This isn't a flame but I have the same thing you have, a cd that I got a long, long time ago, probably not too long after DBP came out. I have had to re-install it many times due to PC upgrades etc... I am not sure why you would want to use that IDE. The latest upgrades have a nice editor included which I believe was the synergy editor that a forum member made. You have to upgrade DBP you can't get anywhere with it straight off the disk, which I am sure you know.

I think it would have been nice to upgrade the old editor along with the program. I don't think even those patches fix all the problems in that editor.

can't you just use the classic ide that comes with the newest dbpro version? (Editor/Editor.exe) Why do you need pathes? What's wrong with the unpatched version of the ide?

At least patch fixes settings saving - they are saving but opening settings again reset them... and something more, i just don't remember, it's about gui too. It's not deadly but I don't know if there are any fixes about compilation process, and that's important.

You seem to have confused the word 'flame' with the word 'suggestion'.
There are many other IDE's available and in my opinion ALL of them are better than the original that came on the CD.

Therefore I suggest you try another IDE. Indigo being infinitely superior to any other I've tried.

Please do not suggest about other editors. This thread is patch request.

I believe the author of the original IDE was called Guy and he disappeared from the DBP scene years ago. So it is extremely unlikely you will get a patch for it. And since you are unwilling to try the other superior IDE's that are available to you, then you are stuck with what you've got.

Well, I got lucky with Evolved's very old shader request. Why not try this time.

I can't download the file

Also, this guy wrote

TGC had removed those 1.0.9 and 1.0.9.2 for unknown reason from site... or not?

The updates are included in a zip here. I would strongly recommend indigo ide or codesurge above this, but some people are old school which is why I keep all the DBP updates. These 3 updates can be installed at any time, though you may have to change a few settings in the editor if you changed the defaults. Install the 1.0.9, then the 1.0.9.2, and then the 1.1.0.3 (unofficial patch). Also included is a power toys for the old ide. I can't recall correctly but they may not function with the 1.1.0.3 version you'll have to test if you want.

@Lost in Thought
I was reinstalling DB from CD and realized that editor version is 1.1.0.1. Do I need to install 1.0.9 and 1.0.9.2 or just 1.1.0.3?

P.S. do you accidentally have changelog for 1.1.0.3?

You must have a newer DBP cd that has a different editor than the one my patches are for. The latest version that came with my cd that those patches work with is Version 1.0.8. After 1.0.9.2b they started toying with new editors made by different people. I have no idea if those patches work at all (even the 1.1.0.3 may not work) for anything after 1.0.9.2b since they are totally different editors. 1.1.0.1 is not made by the same person as the 1.0.9.2 and previous.

[edit] Changelog attached for 1.0.9.2 and previous. There was no changelog for 1.1.0.3 since it was just a test version not officially packaged and released.

He would have to have the old editor, which I think he has. I like the newest editor. I use it and think it is pretty nice. I also use indigo. Have not really made up my mind which one I want to use exclusively yet. I think they both are very good!

My cd has been made in november 2004.

P.S. The old editor still has certain exclusive features. And no bugs (hello, Codesurge!). If it looks old, it doesn't mean that it is worse.

The old editor was really good when updated to 1.1.0.3 except it runs slow here on very large codes. Codesurge is the lightest install that works good and indigo was probably my favorite which is why it is hosted by my site I have had too may issues with the new editor when it first came out so I just moved on and didn't go back.

Despite bugs I use Codesurge with free versions of DB in other places

I wish I could write such large codes
