Hi juggernaught.

I just wrote a big detailed review for you, however TGC website logged me out during that time and I lost it when I pressed post.

I may get round to writing all that again, but for now here's a much shorter version.

Dark clouds is worth getting.

It looks great.

It has no support from its creator

It can be fussy regarding startup

there is a performance hit, and it will take up to a minute to load

issues with using fog with beta dbpro check annoying bugs thread for workaround.

some non-essential commands behave strangely

day and night cycle that looks cool

you will need to make your own rain. inbuilt rain is flawed

Will add a pleasing level of realism to your project.

Hope this was still helpful.

I do not think users will be too happy sitting idle for 1 minute to load ingame effects. This is a deal breaker!

Rain is flawed !

No support from creator!

More deal breakers.

@Kezzla: Thanks for sharing the valuable comments. I won't be buying it. Thanks for saving my money.

I bought it.

The software, CloudWright is EXTREMELY unstable.

However loading times for DarkClouds for me, on a core 2 duo with 3ghz and nvidia 9600m gt is around 15 seconds.
