So the basic idea is to use sprites as buttons ? No specific ingame GUI system available ?

You can make your own, or use BBBGUI or Diggsey's GUI system. DBPro doesn't have a built-in GUI.

It has XGui I think. But it's part of the eXtends plugin.

XGui - part of extends plugin ? So it must be part of the Dark Game Studio bonanza pack now.

I wouldn't advise to use a XGui, too simple GUI system. Try to find Diggsey's GUI system.

This GUI looks professional indeed. This was what I was looking for. Thank you - all of you for the confirmation.

Juggernaut, while DB requires that you build your own GUI system, it is capable of looking like anything you want. Here's two examples of my own GUIs:

iTunes GUI all native DBP

GUI using sprites

Or make your own using the advanced2D plugin with batching which is insanely fast compared to sprites/images and DBP's native 2d commands (avoid at all costs).
