After several hours searching the forums.....i just couldnt find the exact help i needed. I finaly found some other threads from other sites explaining how to set it for dx9.0c

And this is how its done...

Now this should be the only thing you need to set on your router that is hosting the game.

Dont have anything under the filtering or triggering or anything else and this should work.

Notice the ip address i have used. Now this is the ip address for my pc connected to the router hosting the game session.
If you use the internet to find out your internet ip address....that is the one others will need to join your game.

Hope this helps others as i was digging into this for some time and finaly got it working for my game Doomed Descent.

http://www.cisco.com/web/consumer/support/userguides2/4021196_B.pdf

Page 69 onwards should help you further...

But the same information should he available in that help... link on the right side

Alternatively www.portforward.com although I detest their site should help you, I have never had the need to use it but it is a good source of help for others...

http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Cisco/DPC3825/default.htm

for your router in particular

hope that helped...

I know but I thought it would be good to add a formal support data set... As you have one of many routers...

So not to worry I did not misread
