I would like to suggest a new command:
PLAY BITMAP TO IMAGE Bitmap Number,Image,Left,Top,Right,Bottom
(like play animation to image)
It would be very useful to quickly change the contents of an image, since there's no way to draw directly to the image.
You could tell me to draw it to a bitmap and then use GET IMAGE, but it can't be used at every frame cause it's too slow. Play bitmap to image would automatically redirect the contents of a bitmap to an image every time the bitmap is changed. It would be very useful for split screens, 3d glasses, texture/tile/sprite animation effects, etc.

ignore my original post and edit I was missing your point.

Play bitmap to image would work how? Copy the contents of a screen into an image? That is exactly what get image does. I find get image works pretty quickly. I dont think changing the name of the command would make it faster, or am I missing the point.

I think that he means to draw lines/boxes/circles etc directly to an image.

There *is* a way to directly access images ... I've just not finished the plugin yet

That's great!
Think about a fighting game (like street fighter). You could draw the life/energy bars and score to a bitmap, play it to an image and then quickly draw it to the screen using sprite or paste image.
