FPSC Classic Product Chat / Firma 2 error message

Hi

When I try to make a sign using Firma 2 no matter what shape or texture I choose, an error message appears: "Runtime Error 500 - Unknown image error at line 927"

I'm using Windows 7 Premium and tried running the program in compatibility mode with Windows Xp SP2 with no success.
Any ideas?

I have used the program, but not too familiar with the in's and out's of it. Are your textures power of 2, like 256x256 or 512x512? What format are they in, jpg, bmp, etc.??? You may need to give as many details as possible, especially about the textures. Also, exactly when does the error occur? Do you have the path's in the settings pointing to the correct folders?

I just tried using the default texture files.

When you install I think you may need to check "Run as Administrator" in the compatibility settings of the installer file since it installs to the program files, and you might also try setting the executable to the same after the install. Hope this helps. Good luck!

The only other thing I can think of is Windows User Account Control settings. I don't know if you would want to do this or already have but I've noticed some programs don't like Windows UAC. I keep mine turned all the way off so I am not notified when a program tries to install or make changes to my computer. Some programs do not support this and so they may not run correctly. Might be worth a try if you havn't done this already.

Have you looked at Segment Editor and Entity Maker for FPSC available from the FPSC downloads page? There is also Entity Workshop which can be downloaded here.
