Well it depends on which zombies and or scripts your working with. If you are working with Bond1's zombies open the fpe file and look for this:

;DETECT PLAYER
:state=0,plrdistwithin=300,plrcanbeseen:waypointstop,state=9,rotatetoplr,setframe=96,sound=audiobank\zombie_apocalypse\zombie1intro.wav
:state=0,shotdamage=1:waypointstop,state=9,rotatetoplr,setframe=96

focus on "plrdistwithin=300". 300=3 segments. So to change it to 7 segments change the 300 to 700.

Sorry friend. I told you wrong. It's not the fpe file it's the fpi file in the scriptbank folder. That's my mistake and I apologise for the confusion. The best thing to do is make a copy of the file so you do not mess up the original. then yes, open it in notepad or any other basic text editor like context. But notepad works just fine. I have those packs as well and just checked. They all are using "plrdistfurther" to detect the player. Just hit ctrl+F and type it in to search and find it faster. Model packs are made by different people so not all the scripts will be labeled or typed the same way.

Keep posting if you need more help.

Hint: If you work on stock or Model Pack scripts, always make a copy and rename it to scriptnameOLD or scriptnameORIGINAL before you start editing.

In case you find my grammar and spelling weird ---> native German speaker ^^

easiest way to activate them without editing the script is setting the character to ALWAYS ACTIVE = YES (rightclick entity-editor).

they wont see you if script restricts them, but they will start normal behavior like walking around etc. and dont just standing around doing nothing.

try it, maybe its enough for you.
