Hints for better searching (and finding) things on TGC forums

Hope that this one is not to be erased as a duplicate post,as i've already posted it on FPSC forums, but i feel that it could be useful particularly in DBPro board as it's very wide....

I want to share my way of searching in TGC forums, hoping this will help someone to discover little hidden treasures in these boards and
not to ask for obvious and multi-poli-answered topics.

1) Use the power of Google search engine;
2) in the search string use the parameter "site:" to restrict searching only in this forums.

Example (1):
I want to search all has been said about Antialas in these forums.
(search string in Google)

Example (2):
I want to know all the threads in which i have posted something (not only the ones i've started).
(search string in Google)

Example (3):
i want to read all the posts in which the command JOIN NET GAME has been discussed.

(this is for me particuarly useful because i find tricky using multiple keywords in TGC search box.

And now a practical use:
this is the link to find all that's been said until now about using DBPro with Visual Basic:

and this is the search string

That will in deed be very helpful. Thanks for sharing DarthBasicVader. I've always find it extremely difficult to find certain thread and topic with the regular search function...

Life begin where ->BeginScene() and it ends at ->EndScene()..so please Present(NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL);

er did I miss something? isnt this the same as using the google forum search feature instead of the thread subject search feature? I get no difference in results - the only difference being the provided feature adds http:// after "site:" and the results showed in a slightly different order but all appear to be the same

Sorry, it seems after all that i've missed something

Though in the past the Google Forum Search did not help me much with its results, seems now that results are almost the same than using "site:" in google's search string.

Sorry again.

My tip would be useful only if you're not landed on TGC forum pages yet.
