I am still not able to get lights working. I put light2 on a wall change it to dynamic, put switch on a wall and light does not work. I have played with the entities settings and just can not get dynamic lights to go on and off with a switch.

I have followed the manual on lights although I have not tried light markers. For now I just want the light to work with a switch.

Thanks for any help!

OK That worked, I thought light markers were something like a trigger zone and when the player hit a light marker it triggered a light on. I did read the manual and it was not real clear you had to use them with lights, it went more into how to right click and edit them.

I also asked for help in the scripts bank a few weeks ago and no one even asked if I was using light markers or said I had to!!!

Thanks now off to play around with lights and make the switch work with it!!!

So I have tried everything I can think of to make the light go off and on with a switch and can't make that work so can someone give me a clue? I am sure it is something extremely simple that I am missing.

I am using light 2, switch 2 and a white light marker, I made all dynamic

Make sure the switches If used property has the name of the light marker. Then make sure that you got Lighting shadows active in the File-Preferences menu (best for performance and best for quality is considered on).

That worked somewhat. It seems to dim the light but not turn it all the way off. If I turn the ambient light down to 0 and work the switch I would think the room should go dark but the light just dims a little.

Hi Dragon Slayer
Not knowing what scripts you used or how you setup your map and lighting, maybe you should first check out these video tutorials.
http://www.thegamecreators.com/?m=view_product&id=2001&page=lightsvideos
First video is on setting up a light with a switch. Go from there.
Best
