FPSC Classic Product Chat / help me, im new!!

hey guys im new here, and basicaly i wanna make a zombie fps game, but rather than have a specific piont to get to to win the games, how can i set it so i have to kill all enemy ai's and how can i have 1-2 simple ally ai's that keep me safe, but dont actualy kill any zombies?

also how can i replace the skybox and the sprites/ hud with my own for that game, but keep it as normal for other games?

i have the bought version, i dunno if its updated at all- its v 1.0

and i havnt rly made many games with it be fore. i know the basic controls and have rad the manual so i understand some of how to use it.

rightklick enemies, number the field "is objective" from 1 to x.

how should they protect you without killing zombies. try to setup a darkAI. place character, then setup the ai-appear- and mainscript out of the DarkAI-folder. same for the enemies that they may attack. use forumsearch at bottom of the page to search for darkAI-zombiescript.

open languagebank/.../mygame and make copy of levelsetup.fpi. then look into it wich skybox and huds are used. alter the originals (after savecopy them) or insert your own here.

some of your questions are not for very beginners, so dont blame anything when you dont get what you want. you need lots of practice for this. read community-guide and start to learn scripting and understanding of fpsc-structures is a good first step. nearly all of your questions point to that.

cool thanks, so basicaly, i need a fpi script for the ally ai? if so could u do one for me as im rubbish at scripting. thanks for ur reply, it was very helpful!

Nice try but those kind of scripts are a lot of work. In fact I'd say to make a reasonable character script takes about a week.

Your best bet is to start with the ally script provided with FPSC, make a copy and then edit this into what you want. If you post your efforts I have no doubt people will help out. The guys around here appreciate it if folks have a crack at doing it themselves.

If you're new to scripting my advice is to start simple, like ammo or a door and build up to characters.
