I am having some trouble getting a sprite sheet to animate, all i see is a blue screen. Here are the codes and images used. I am sort of stumped because I thought I had the dimensions correct but it will not show up nor play.

thank you very much for your time.

Ask me anything.

I downloaded your image and it appears to be a png file; not a bmp. Try changing the file extension in the code and on the file and see if that works.

And your image is not a bmp anyway, it's a PNG.

...twice

It works with the space but something odd happens. Attached is a beautiful image I drew to test it with. Here is his code (modified for my example):

Image: "Despair" by nonZero (This is an emotive piece reflecting the pain of humanity and the burden of day to day existence on this planet. Comes in many flavours including pink).

Weird huh?

you do realize the "sprite sheet" won't offer the results you desire, even when you DO get it loaded up correctly?

it's 612 px wide, as provided, / 10 = 61.2 so the image itself needs work if you really need to use it (i've tested it and can't be bothered to work on it, but it is out of whack).

you'll find a lot of the ripped "sprite sheets" on the internet are put together poorly and will require some time/effort to adjust, re-arrange, test, etc, before animating properly.
