Hello, friends. I have this puzzle in mind for my game, but I'm not sure how it would be set up. The situation goes down like this:

The player encounters a door in a bunker. It is locked with a padlock. This prompts the player to say something to himself along the likes of: "Oh a padlock. Let's go find the key. Can YOU see a key? Swiper no swiping." Then, another room is opened where the player must search in to find it. The trick here is is that there's a blacklight that is permanently on in the corner of the room and you have to shoot the lights out, which not only dim the room, but reveals the padlock code, written in translucent paint on the wall. Is there some scripts out there that could help me with this? I rather like this puzzle. Thank you guys, ahead of time.

"I think I'm getting the 'Black Lung,' pop."

"Derrick, you've been down there for one day."

Yeah wouldn't be too difficult. Just make the bulb a dynamic entity with a strength of 1, set it's destroy script to destroyandactivate.fpi. Then put the name of the other entities (which I'll call "code") into the If Used box.

Give a dynamic light placed as if it was the bulb the name "code", and make the paint an entity (it'd probably be easier just to make a false wall entity with that texture sprayed on). Set it as dynamic, and to not spawn at the start and also call it "code".

See if that works.

EDIT: I've just tested this and it does work.
