how do i include a thirty second count down timer with an input command

what you mean by that?
you want it to count 30 seconds down while typing something?
if so, input command is not for that, u better try the entry$()

here is an example:
seconds as integer
seconds = 30


sectmp as integer
sectmp = 0
s as string
do
	cls
	s = entry$(1)
	text 0,0,"Type: "+s
	text 0,15,"Time: "+str$(seconds)
	
	//Counter:
	if sectmp = 0 then sectmp = timer()
		if sectmp+1000<=timer()
			dec Seconds
			if seconds = 0 then seconds = 30
			sectmp = timer()
		endif
		
loop

I never found that command and have been going to more trouble than necessary to enter a string while the loop is running.
