Hey Forum, Back in 2006 I made some trench segements, but they seem to have alot of problems for some people to get working, here is the old link http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=86508&b=24 anyways I'm sorry that was so long ago that I last post on them, so I making up for all the lost time by showing you the new Trench System that I am working on, this time they wont be in the form of segments except for the floors, the rest will be all entities, here are some screen shots, tell me what you think of them so for.

Here is wall that was damaged by a canon bullet

Underground Bunker

Well thats all I have right now, so I hope look ok, Im still working on them right now, not sure if I'll be giving them away or not,if they look good enough I might try to summit them to the store, nut sure yet.

right now Im going to turn in for to night, so just leave your comments.

Good night everyone

Nice work.

A few things though, the boards seem a little repetitive, since each one is using the same texture. Second thing I see is that the cannon shell shouldn't contain the casing, as it is left behind when fired.

Looking forward to seeing more.

Tanks Vent, yea I kinda used my imagination a little on that canon shell, Im making another with a dud scud rocket that didnt explode on impact, and I am changing some of the textures to,giving the support beems a different wood grain texture.

just added a walkover set to the trenches, lol..I got the Idea from watching a Indiana Jones movie,in a part where I seen some people walking over a trench on a board bridge, thought it would look good in the the trench system.

oh yea, the walkover set I added is a set of three peaces, the top that has three boards, one endbrace that goes on either side of the trench to where the overwalk ends and starts, and a brace to go in the middel of the walkover, you can use them in different combinations.

Your trench segments look cool.

If I remember correctly, trenches in WW1 had wooden 'pallet' type structures for the floors of the trenches to help keep the soldiers from walking/slipping in the mud which would build up.
Maybe some of these would look good in your structures?

Ok your right, Hmm...Getting some Ideas now, I'll work on some other peaces and add some kind of wooded walking surfaces, also gona make another type of trench wall, oh and their not segments except for the floors, had too many problems with the last trench system , and only a few can get it to work, hope you don't mind.

Alright now, Im working an these still so the quality isn't all the way there yet, just wanted to see how they looked, so far I have made a different wall that has sandbags, and different board textures, and I'm also adding a board walk way to the ground so you wont sink in the mud.

Ok everyone I'm Back, I'm still constantly working on the Trench System, I have added boards to the ground so you don't have to walk in the mud, and added a new wall, now I have just added something to make the Trenches look like they were actually dug up, I call them Trench Edges, they go on the top edges of the Trenches to give them more a of trench look, and I added some spkies to them, here are the screen shots, I'm still in the process of working on them, this what I have so far.

tell me what you think.

Its seem that my stupid cable and internet company will be taking longer to reconnect my service, but until then I will keep working on the trench system, so please hang in there until I am able to post more updates on the trench system.
