Thanks Flatlander for the headsup.

Mr_Joe, I am working on an educational game that will comprise 31 levels. I need to place all these into one executable so that one level will play after the other with splash screens in-between. (It can be more complex than that, but that's the basic premise.)

Meows pointed me in the direction of Ultimate Launcher which I have downloaded, but not yet tested. I saw on one of the Into the Dark Forums/FAQs Ertlov had a launcher that checked and installed DirectX as well. Maybe he can cast some light on this?

As English is not my first language either, Mr_Joe, I hoped this made sense. Please ask if anything was unclear.

Edit: As Flatlander noted - some levels will be necessary to complete for the player to progress, while others are more "fun" and can be skipped by the student.

Just dnloaded your program. And have a small issue. All my dnloads go to a secure drive and I extract them there. Half asleep I clicked the CreaStater.exe file thinking it was a installer.

It was not and the program started to load and a error screen poped up saying no path to FPSC. I Clicked the RED X and the darn ERROR no path to FPSC will not close. I had to go to task manager to close it.
Just information

Now more dear to my heart is a game launcher, I built my own as I have a 43 level game that I needed to start selling and could not find anything.

What I did was build each section of the game ( from 2 to 4 levels ) then as the player completed a section the next section would be available for the player to play.

I have not gone back and re-coded it for general use. I just remake it for each game. How ever it sure could use some updates with more flash and bang. My real life has not allowed me to do much other than care for my husband this last year. SO if you make one that is in this venue I would be interested.

Tried out this neat program, but it may be me with win7 I am not sure. I downloaded this version from Direct Link v1.0.2: http://creastater.at.ua/_ld/0/5_CreaStater_1.0..rar

.Loading and working with files that are in existance is great.

.Then I tried the on screen text feature, it worked and the test worked fine. However it would not save at all. Keep getting the (( Cannot create file "".
The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.)) No idea what my volume label syntax has to do with it.

.Now If I can open any fpsc file. Edit it and save it why will creating a NEW FILE or a screen Text not save?

.Also the screen text file was full of spaces and I had to del them for the script to work. BUT after the first one the next 3 worked fine, they just would not save.

.Yes path is set C:\Program Files\The Game Creators\FPS Creator\FPSCreator.exe

.Also the Setup.ini displays the screen but that is it. you can't click anything yet.

Great program, I like it. Just a few minor issues.

Oh before I forget, when you use the text on screen and click generate, as I said you can not save it and the EDIT SELECT ALL only selects the first 15 characters on the left side. (( This was only on the First screen text I tried the next 3 selected all the text.

The Quick Open files and folders works like a charm.

Woops While writing this I was testing things and had 5 windows open ** Not 5 copies of CreaStater just 5 windows IN CreaStater ** and after I clicked exit I received the save or not save popup. Then after 3 screens had closed and the last two open I get this access Violation at address 00480525 in CreaStater.exe read address 0000000

Meows, thank you for your comment. I'm glad you liked my program. I will try soon (I hope it will be less than 7 days)publicate an update to fix major bugs.

That is weird. I had no problem with the byte count with the download button link. I tried the one you supplied in your last post and it calculates the amount of 791 KB.

Meows, maybe your computer had a bad "math" day. Hopefully it will work for you with the new link.

Nice looking app the only thing I don't like is the use of Macro's these can be a nice feature but also can be hit hard for viruses.

But well done m8 keep up the good work.

What do you mean by this s4?
Its actually a feature that might get me to use this program, macro recording is very handy for media creators who want to make changes to a number of files at once and saves me a lot of time and grinding work.

I didn't even try to see if it would run. I tried and I got a fatal error message. The download button has the "bug_report.dat" file.

@Godrih does it run for you?

Did you download the bug_report.dat I provide in the download link in my post above?

I used all three possible download links and all fail on start of the executable. I'll take the time and try again.

Mr_Joe, have just decided to re-download the program, and download the program at startup, got the error. I have till this was the version 1.03. I think everyone will have a similar error, but the report file invested.
