Since it was done before with the move to Windows 7, I figured it was suitable to start a similar thread for Windows 8.

Let's all share rather or not we are able to install and run FPSC on Windows 8.

As of now I am dual booting Win 7 & Win 8 both 64bit and have had no issues with FPSC v1.19 so far aside from one minor one during install. Which wasn't really an issue, just something annoying.

Per the built in security features of Windows 8, when trying to install FPSC it detected FPSC as a potential threat. We all know that it isn't a threat to anything except our free time.

All you have to do to get past this is to click the "more" link then click "Run Anyways". Done.

Anyone else running FPSC on Windows 8 or willing to do so in order to share your findings?

[Please don't turn this thread into a "I LOATHE Windows" thread!]

I guess you should also add the TGC Store app here... Did you get that working too?

Daniel,
I am not questioning rather or not people should start using Windows 8 for their current developments, I am digging to see what issues if any occur when trying to run on Windows 8. I know where you stand on that, please don't carry that discussion, you linked to, over into my thread.

Mr. Valentine,
Confirmed, I just successfully opened and downloaded an item from the TGC Store.

Intel Boss Says Windows 8 Is Not Fit For Release:

http://www.techweekeurope.co.uk/news/intel-windows-8-release-94132

so as stated (and also stated in Daniels thread by me), await different issues as long as the supporters have to fix the first row of new drivers (if neccessary), and with the new drivers some hardware-combos may have new issues until service pack 1 is at start. as i understand that it is important for you to know complications, even the hardware-supporters dont know their compatibility yet, how should we do?

"dont know their compatibility yet, how should we do? "
By testing...

The purpose of this thread is to find if FPSC may have any quirks with Windows 8. If you don't have input or questions on what the original post is referring to please restrain from posting just to hear yourself talk or in this case, type.
